嘉兴精武门支部主持人武大仁病危，临终瞩咐孤女小花重振精武门，小花抵沪后，四处查问师兄音讯，无奈日本人视精武门人为眼中钉，处处刁难，一天，小花在江边得到侠士指点，前往闸北沈家找寻精武门代门主沈老爷，恰巧沈老爷遭到日寇追杀，小花奋起相救，终因寡不敌众，沈老爷被打死，临终前将精武门之花名册交到小花手中，日本人四处追杀小花，性命攸关之际，大师兄水银突然出现。

默娘自幼聪敏过人，八岁启蒙就学，凡所读之书，过目不忘。十三岁即已博通古今，兼具异禀，能知过去未来，故在一般人的心目中是一位福慧双修的才女，除此之外，默娘更喜游泳，无论狂风大浪，她都能如意的游在水中，沿海一带居民，纷纷称奇，传说默娘系海神转世，家中兄姐亦常戏呼其为小仙姑。 光阴似箭，转瞬三年，时默娘在十八岁已尽悉秘兴所授大法，变成一文武全才之女中丈夫矣！
