本作は「相棒」シリーズ初の長編配信オリジナルドラマ。sideA（右京編）とsideB（薫編）が配信されており、どちらから観ても楽しむことができる。物語の軸になるのは元暴力団員が殺害された事件。杉下右京と亀山薫がそれぞれ捜査を進めていくと、驚くべき事件の真相が浮かび上がる。
